We’re looking for a IoT Software Developer to help build industry-leading acquisition technologies that the world’s largest mines will adopt.
Reporting to the VP – Software Engineering, the IoT Acquisition Developer role will include following broad responsibilities and any other assigned work from time to time.
Define sensor product physical requirements and architecture – provide RF requirements & SW specs
Develop algorithms for digital wireless communication systems including performance simulations and VLSI requirements
Develop and integrate advanced radio calibrations techniques and digital compensation algorithms
Solve complex multi-disciplinary system issues involving the HW/SW/RF/Modem domains in close cooperation with all of the development teams
Design and own the communication protocol between sensor device, Edge IoT device, and Azure Cloud mirror
Develop ability to communicate with sensor through cloud platform for updates, engineering new features etc.
Test and maintain middleware on a variety of operating systems and real-time embedded platforms
Write API and feature documentation
Evaluate and analyze performance
Contribute and develop ideas for new research and commercially viable sensor product software.
Sc in Electrical Engineering. Preferably in communication or signal processing
3+ years of engineering experience in at least one of the following disciplines:
System engineering
Algorithm development
RF design
System integration
Modem design
HW Board-level debug of analog and digital CPU/MCU systems
Linux and/or programming skills sufficient to test HW
Solid written and spoken English language skills
Ability to travel 25-40%
Solid EE design skills in analog (sensor interfaces, power supplies) and digital circuits (MCU, memory interfacing, low and high speed serial interconnects)
Independent working and takes initiative
Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a fast-paced environment
Experience leading in environments that are highly volatile, cross-functional, and cross-organizational
Full time, Flexible working hours, 15 days/year vacation
Work from Palo Alto offices, with travel to Seattle and Client offices world wide
